It is with a heavy heart…and a bout of nausea…that I report…

NO MORE PROJECT RUNWAY BLOGS!…and I know it’s not fair to me or my readers, because I’ve already completed two live blogs for the new season…however, I’ve lost interest; it’s just NOT the show I-we came to love…the Jays, the Santinos, the Andres…the Christian Sirianos..they were great and they were it!…the last two seasons have produced ZERO strong personalities..and I still love Heidi, Tim, Michael, and Nina, well not Nina so much, but even their unique charms cannot hold my interest anymore…I think I might still watch the show, but my opinions and my snarkiness will be restrained…
My apologies bloggers and friends!

Happy Birthday!

To Ellen DeGeneres…52 today!…I don’t know where to begin on my love of Ellen…it started with some modest stand-up comedy on HBO, moved on to These Friends of Mine later renamed Ellen on ABC…then she came out!…via her sitcom and the world went into a tizzy…”The Puppy Episode” garnered record ratings and a Best Writing in a Comedy Series Emmy for Ellen…however, during this madness, Ellen disappointed me and probably a lot of my fellow ladies when she started dating actress and cerifiable nutbar, Anne Heche…I never saw their relationship as geniune…it was definitely indulgent as Heche directed her then girlfriend in the final vignette of HBO’s If These Walls Could Talk 2 in 2000…at that point, I didn’t really care for Ellen anymore…yes, she went on to star in another self-titled sitcom, The Ellen Show, for CBS, but it just didn’t have the goofiness of her original series…it did have Betty White!…then Ellen vanished for a while…oh sure, she hosted the Emmys, the Grammys, and she would eventually host the Oscars, but her ultimate comeback came in the form of her own talk show, and stay with me…The Ellen DeGeneres Show…the show has won a total of 25 Emmys…and DeGeneres continues to delight the masses, and me, with her rambling, yet clever sense of humor…in just a few weeks, Ellen will venture into new territory, as a judge on American Idol…I’m very excited, but maybe just a tad cynical…I don’t like it when hit shows, although Idol has not raked in its usual ratings at least the last two seasons, shakes things up…don’t even get me started on The L Word…all in all, Ellen will be great and I hope she’s able to completely embrace her new role as a critic aka normal music buying person on the judging panel…and I’m very glad Ellen finally settled down and got married to actress Portia de Rossi…they are uber-cute together…
Ah, sweet love…later!

GLEE continues to surprise and dominate….

Okay, I totally forgot about the SAG Awards, but I wasn’t worried about the McKinley High crew, they cannot lose…as you know or may not know, the SAG Awards are voted on by actors, not critics or old, fogey Academy members…GLEE took Best TV Comedy Series cast…some of the other main actors, like Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, and Jane Lynch have gotten nominations, but I’m not sure when they will win…Lynch should win a million times over…I keep thinking about the first time I saw the show; I was instantly hooked and I’m in excruciating pain thinking about waiting until April to see the second part of the first season…I read about the many guest stars who will appear: Idina Menzel starring as the coach of New Directions’ main competition, Vocal Adrenaline…Olivia Newton-John!!!…oh yes…perhaps J-Lo, though, nobody cares…
I’m so proud of these kids, er, actors!

First GaGa, Now Glambert?…WTF Oprah?!?

Seriously, is there something in the water at Harpo Studios?…well, you saw Friday how Lady GaGa got through it, but now?…Adam Lambert performed a sub-par “Whataya Want From Me”…in fact, I think this is his weakest live performance yet…not to mention Oprah asking the same tired questions about the American Music Awards…Oy Vey!…I’m not happy his other live performance of “If I Had You” did not air in its entirety…you can only see it on Oprah’s site, and well, right below the first video…I found out today, it’s his next single, I don’t know who made that call, but WRONG!…I still heart him!

GaGa, Golden Globes, and GLEE!

I originally intended for today’s blog to be all about GaGa, but really, there isn’t much to say, except Lady GaGa wasn’t all that together on Oprah Friday…it was akin to a comedy of errors…
I had a friend say that GaGa needs to use a headset instead of a handheld mic…she only does that to prove she doesn’t lipsynch…and maybe she’s more comfortable performing live with a handheld mic…the facts were GaGa cancelled a show Thursday night, but she went ahead and committed to Oprah on Friday…and I believe I read a show set for tonight has also been cancelled…she’s more than likely just uber-exhausted; I just hate to see her not at her best…
Moving on…well, if you haven’t read who won a Golden Globe yet…Glee won for Best TV Series:
Comedy or Musical…I am ecstatic!…and for the first time in real life, we all got a glimpse of nominee Jane Lynch in a dress: sorry, all I could find is this short interview clip…and I just found another picture of her in dress at a premiere, anyhoo:
Congrats also go out to Chloe Sevigny who beat Lynch for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Mo’Nique winning Best Supporting Actress for Precious, I finally saw Precious the other night and it’s really good, but I’m afraid it’s losing steam, except for Mo’Nique, in the awards arena..
Oh, and Johnny Weir placed 2nd at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships!
Gotta Go, enjoy the week!

Nothing fancy…a few notes….

I don’t have much today…I would really like your feedback on the live blog I did last night for Project Runway…I would like to continue with it, but I don’t know…I wasn’t impressed with the first episode…I don’t see anyone getting cutthroat…sigh..
Lady GaGa is going to be on Oprah today!…and my little Glambert will be visiting next Tuesday…EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!…I love it…speaking of Glambert, here’s his just released video for “Whataya Want From Me”:
I may do a little bit of Golden Globes coverage Monday, if GaGa is crazy on Oprah, that’s coming up…anyways…have a fantabulous weekend!

Well Played Sir…

Simon X Factor
Just as we’re about to suffer through another bazillion weeks of bad auditions for season 9 of American Idol…Simon Cowell trumps everybody yesterday, and announces this his last season on the show…he’s prepping The X Factor, which will premiere stateside in the fall of 2011…and wouldn’t you know, The X Factor is another Cowell creation…and my question is: how in the hell is The X Factor diffrent from American Idol?…the answer is, not much…the only difference is the X Factor contestants are divided into groups of 4 and each of the judges mentors a group…judges on past British X Factors have included, Sharon Osbourne, Danii Minogue, Cheyl Cole, and Cowell himself…the show produced Leona Lewis, who is still a rising a star in America…rumor is Paula Abdul may join the American version, since Cowell has said he would love to work with her again…and hell, she needs the job!…note that new Idol judge, Ellen DeGeneres, will not be seen until the top 12 are set…I think that’s one reason Cowell is bowing out this season, he probably secretly thinks the show will suffer because of DeGeneres…that’s my theory…I still think Ellen will be a fresh addition to the judges’ table…however, I’m a little skeptical…and you may wonder will American Idol go on without Simon?…yes, it will!…I don’t know why, but Cowell recently signed a contract for 3 MORE SEASONS…which will be honored I’m sure…so you know, we have at least 2 more seasons to look forward to…UGH!…
As for the onslaught of auditions that start airing tonight…I’m in!…and I’m usually not this enthusiastic about it…maybe it’s because I’ll be on the lookout for the next Glambert…or the next Kevin Covais aka Chicken Little…or the next Melinda Doolittle…or, well you get my point…
Happy Watching!
(NOTE: You may have noticed the link for my upcoming live Project Runway blog is missing…I’m still playing with Cover it Live and Thursday will hopefully be a good test run…I know I say every year I’m not going to do another PR blog, but since the show is back in NYC, I thought I would give it another shot…come back Thursday!)

Dear Kate Gosselin…

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENOUGH!…You are kidding me with this new weave right???…you think $7,000 worth of hair extensions is going to make all the drama of the past year vanish???….by the way, you look ridiculous with the extensions…try growing your hair out like the normal person we all thought you were…but if you got the bread, girl…go for it…
In short, I’ve over you….but I’ll always have this:
Yes!
